Monday morning saw a hive of activities in the Primary Science Lab and Year Six classrooms - students, teachers, and parents were buzzing with excitement.
Year Six hosted a showcase of their learning this term on the topic of 'Freedom.' The showcase gave the students the autonomy to lead on their learning through a Leading Learning Conference. Firstly, leading a lesson for their parents, followed by an opportunity to share their learning portfolios.
Having ownership of their learning, students were able to facilitate and articulate the discussions around the work they were most proud of at school. Students were able to reflect on how they had been progressing through their learning, show responsibility and celebrate what they had accomplished.
Through the Leading Learning Conference, parents were able to see their child as a leader and a learner whilst seeing what they had been working on and dig deeper into the learning through their one-to-one presentations.
