“Voyage dans l’espace” - learning about the solar system
In French, some Year 5 students have been working on a cross-curricular topic about planets in the solar system with Mrs. Deudé.
The students learnt the names of the planets and how they are connected to the days of the week. They also described the size, colour, temperature, place in the solar system, and other elements like diameter, rotation time, and so on, all in French.
The students had to build long sentences with the adjectives and work on feminine, masculine, plurals and the placement of adjectives. They also worked out big numbers as space uses thousands or millions when talking about sizes or distances. We had infinite fun and creativity in this project!
The students have created some amazing posters using the information that they have learnt, and we have shared some of their work below.
Bravo les “Year 5”!
