Looking Around

A short note in our final week of term to thank everyone for yet another wonderful year at BIS Abu Dhabi and to wish all members of our community a peaceful and enjoyable holiday ahead.

There are countless student successes from this year and we will all have special ones that stick in our minds. I do also take a moment at this time of year to consider wider aspects of our school too and particularly our school community and school ethos which influence everything that takes place. The support and care towards one another that everyone shows is such a huge contributor to the achievements of our students. As ever, I thank everyone for their part in this – we all do our little bit to make the school a happy, fun, vibrant learning environment, and I know we are making an important difference in helping these special young people to have the best possible start in life.

The holidays now lie ahead and I hope everyone has some good times planned. Whether you are travelling afar or simply enjoying being at home with family, I wish everyone the very best for the break. In the 1986 film, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, the lead character says the following line:

“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”

To all members of the BIS Abu Dhabi family, please heed Ferris Bueller’s advice! We all look forward to seeing you back in September for another exciting and successful year.
