Deadline Extended: Join as our Class Representative

We’re pleased to share that there is still time to become a class representative (rep) for 2016/17, so if you’ve been thinking about volunteering then we would love to hear from you! Class reps help build a sense of community among the class parents through helping to organise class events and whole school activities, being a key communicator and participating in monthly parent meetings.

Read what Sue Poskaitis has to say about her role as a class representative:

“I love being a parent representative at BIS Abu Dhabi. I really enjoy getting to know the parents and children of my daughters’ classes, as well as establishing good relationships with their class teachers.  But what’s great about the role is that you can be involved as little or as much as you like.  It may simply include forwarding emails from the class teacher or the PTA to the class parents every other week, or if you choose to you can organize coffee mornings or social events for your class parents and children.  It is totally up to you – you can tailor the role to fit in with your lifestyle.  It’s a great way to be involved with our fantastic school community.”
