The British International School Abu Dhabi will be taking 13 students from Year 6 – Year 9 to the BSME Dance Invitational, ‘Sands of Time’ 2019, hosted by Cranleigh School Abu Dhabi. This is the second annual Dance Showcase by schools who share a love and passion for Dance.
The showcase explores the idea that footprints on the sands of time are not made by sitting down. Our dance group has explored ‘carbon footprints’ and developed ideas of pushing, pulling, quicksand, gasping, footprints and shadows. The showcase will take place on Thursday 21st February – Saturday 23rd February. Our dancers will meet participants from 8 other schools across the Middle East. They will learn an opening dance for the performance that will involve all participants. During Friday 22nd February, dancers will attend a variety of workshops led by dance artists. On Saturday 23rd February, a performance will take place at the Cranleigh School Auditorium at 11.30am, where the British International School Abu Dhabi will perform their response to the given title.
