BIS Abu Dhabi students to perform at NYUAD

Water in the Desert explores His Highness, the late Sheikh Zayed’s vision of a green desert, in an opera that embraces dance, music, drama, design and film. Students from Bis Abu Dhabi have been working with Cranleigh Abu Dhabi and the Ministry of Tolerance UAE. The Creative Team is a combination of professional artists from the UK, who have been working with a cast of over 80 students from Abu Dhabi.

Four students from Year 7 and Year 8 auditioned in May and have since been committed to rehearsals with the Water in the Desert Company. In the build up to the final preparations for the performance at NYUAD, students will finalise movement material, have costume fittings, will experience full dress rehearsals and technical rehearsals with the Creative Team. The accumulation of the creative process and hard work will be presented at NYUAB The Arts Center on Thursday 25th October 8.00pm and Friday 26th October 4.00pm. For those who are interested in supporting Constanca Gois, Sarah Harkat, Naiya Watts and Mia Seesink please book tickets and see the performance.
