On the 19th February we hosted a very successful parent workshop (Year 7) for Mathematics and English.
The aim of the evening was to share with parents the core skill set needed for success within the subjects. Mr Grant (Head of Mathematics), Mrs Baker (Head of English) and Mrs McGlue (Head of Secondary Inclusion) delivered a presentation using a variety of resources that parents were able to take home with them and use to further develop their son/daughter's ability. Parents were even challenged to solve Maths problems and answer English literature questions. (We witnessed the competitive edge come out in a number of year 7 parents!).
I would like to thank all parents for attending the event and as I highlighted on the night, we believe that the partnership of parent, teacher and child is crucial for progress and success.
