Last week, Year 4 students had the opportunity to travel to the Park Hyatt hotel on Saadiyat Island to learn all about the turtle conservation scheme that they run and the beach ecosystem in conjunction with our Science topic for this term.
It was a fantastic experience for all of the students, learning about turtle breeding habits, how the offspring are born and some of the struggles they face from predators once they are born.
The students also took part in a shell scavenger hunt and a sand sculpting competition where we saw a number of sea creatures created on the shore line. We all had a fantastic time (especially Mr. O’Neill!)
