Last week, year 10 embarked on a 5 day work experience programme. The students were ‘employed’ by various different sectors including, media, medicine, facilities management, engineering, childcare, hospitality, airline management and even doggy day care! Members of the secondary staff went out during the week to visit the students and commented on how well they were doing. I have also received several emails this week from the companies themselves congratulating the students on being so fantastic.
Year 10 have been an absolute credit to the school by showing a keenness to learn, a willingness to ask questions and a professional attitude. Some of the activities they took part in included health and safety checks in a busy office, conducting transcription for a television programme on OSN, recording a radio broadcast, fire safety training for Etihad, presenting to a boardroom of adults and looking after pets for the day!
We are very proud of the students and are looking forward to hearing all about it on their return to school.
