The Team Falcon Boys Football, Girls Netball, Girls Touch and BSME U15 teams have all been in action over the last few weeks, representing the school with great enthusiasm and we have been privileged to witness some outstanding performances.
Our boys Football teams (this term, U12A and B, U14 A and B, U16 and U19) have now played ADISSA league 24 games, recording 16 wins, 4 draws and 4 losses. All of our teams are well-placed in their respective leagues in what is a remarkable improvement on last year’s results.
The girls Netball teams are also recording some great results, winning the majority of games in a packed league programme. The girls Touch teams have been involved in one mini-tournament so far this year, reaching the semi-final stage in both U14 and U19 categories before losing out narrowly to the eventual champions.
As a warm up for the BSME U15 Games in Bahrain (November 02-05), our track and field squad competed with BSAK and Brighton at Zayed Sports City. Having finished a distant third in the equivalent event last year our athletes were far more competitive this year with stand-out performances from Naser Al-Menhali, and Leandri Van Heerden in the boys and girls 800m.
It is becoming very obvious that in all respects, our teams and athletes are performing to a much higher standard and that our expectations are consequently being raised quite substantially.
Many thanks to our students, parents and coaches for a great start to the school year.
