Message From The Head of Primary

Thank you to everyone who attended our National Day Celebrations last week. Our school was certainly transformed on the day showcasing some fantastic assemblies in the morning by the students who took us on a journey through UAE history and culture. This continued into the afternoon when our community came together taking part in the many activities organised by our PTA, families and school staff which resulted in a fun-filled afternoon for everyone involved. The coming together of our community on this day to mark union of the UAE is a truly special one.

Just as we ended the week with a celebration, we have also started the week by celebrating individual successes through a number of special assemblies for Years one to six. This was an opportunity for us to build upon the rewards, stickers and stars of the week. We always award and have introduced some new awards for effort, attainment, leadership and manners allowing us to reflect upon the many individual successes of the previous term. It must be noted that the children were delighted to see their friends receiving certificates which embodies the caring and supportive ethos which spreads across our school.

Today we have celebrated and showcased the learning that has been taking place in Year 3 this term with parents having the opportunity to observe first-hand how much the students have learnt about different world leaders through time. Moving from class to class, observers were presented with famous characters, facts, artwork which the children were excited to demonstrate in an attempt for visitors to vote for their chosen leader. Thank you to all those parents and visitors who were able to attend. The remaining time promises to be equally as busy across the school and we hope to see you at the many events planned in the remaining days before the Winter break. Thank you as ever for your continued support.
