Cambridge ESOL Exams

On Saturday, twenty-nine BIS Abu Dhabi students sat the Cambridge ESOL exams.

In our journey towards becoming certified as an official Cambridge preparation and exam centre, we have been able to offer these exams at school where the students feel the comfort of the familiar surrounding.

In today’s work environment it is becoming increasingly important to be able to demonstrate a certified language level. Knowing one’s language level based on the CEFR is very useful (please see chart).

University entry levels for IELT scores are increasing and more Universities are now accepting the Cambridge CAE instead of IELTs for International evidence of language levels. (Including Russell Group Universities in the UK) For a more detailed comparison of IELTs and Cambridge Certification please see click here.

We will be coordinating the classes for the Cambridge programme for the upcoming school year directly after exams.

If you would like to have more information about the Cambridge course please contact: Mrs Shelagh Deegan (Cambridge Coordinator) or Mrs Rebecca Dickonson (Head of EAL)(please click here to see a chart).
